How to Get Max Value
Most first-timers do the expo wrong. They drift. They grab swag. They leave tired and unchanged. Here's how veterans do it:
The best advice at conventions rarely happens in sessions. It happens outside a breakout session room, in line for coffee, standing near a booth, at night when people finally speak freely.
Walk in with 3 Real Problems
Why: Booths become useful when you show up with specific problems, not general curiosity.
Pick 3 main pains you're dealing with, like:
Material Issues
Inconsistent yield / material performance
Weather Challenges
Cold-weather work / substrate headaches
Equipment Problems
Rig downtime, gun issues, proportioner maintenance
Staffing Struggles
Hiring/training lead sprayers
Business Operations
Lead flow, estimating, collections, cash flow
The Best Expo Hall Strategy
01
Hit up Your Current Suppliers FIRST
Go see your 1) foam supplier, 2) equipment suppliers, 3) parts/equipment supplier, and then 4) any safety/PPE/software vendors you use
02
Ask the Right Questions
Veteran Move: ask them directly:
  • "What are you seeing top contractors do differently this year?"
  • "What's changing in code/compliance that I should prepare for?"
  • "If you were running my rig, what would you change in the next 90 days?"
03
Visit Vendor Alternatives NEXT
After you talk to "your people," go find:
  • Maintenance/parts solutions that reduce downtime,
  • Measurement/QA tools ( helps you prove you did it right)
  • Business systems (CRM, estimating, recruitment)
04
Focus on Fast ROI
You'll get ROI fast if you focus on things that:
  • Reduce callbacks
  • Reduce downtime
  • Improve close rate
  • Improve crew consistency
SPFA PCP Certification Advantage
The FREE Stuff
The biggest secret to spray foam business success is SPFA membership and PCP Certification. Now… what's the biggest secret in getting certified?? Well, that's taking the PCP Field Exam to earn SPFA's Master Installer certification at their annual Convention!! And guess what? At the convention this year, you get FREE certification program enrollment and FREE Field Exam registration to become a Master Installer (must have sprayed 100,000 bd ft already.)
Then, all you need to do is pass the (3-part) Master Installer written exam that you can do later. SPFA's PCP Certification is one of the clearest long-term differentiators because it signals 1) professionalism, 2) discipline and 3) a commitment to doing it right.
You need to register and schedule your field exam at www.sprayfoamshow.org.
Field Exam Times:
  • 8AM-3PM Sunday, March 22
  • 7AM-12PM Monday, March 23
Field Exam Experience
There's also a FREE "Field Exam Experience" where you can simply watch how the Field Exams work to better prepare you! It's a No-Brainer to at least do this.
6AM-8AM on either Saturday, Sunday or Monday
It literally is a Once-in-a-Year Opportunity!
Optional Education Sessions - Not Free but Worth It!
If you decide to upgrade, the Full Convention PASS is $545 for SPFA members and $745 for non-members. That full registration includes the Tuesday/Wednesday education sessions and Expo Hall and is where the deeper technical/business content lives.

BONUS: For the first time, SPFA will RECORD all breakout sessions this year and make them available to Full Convention attendees. You only get access if you register at www.sprayfoamshow.org.
